This design offered better protection from the sun, and began to replace the earlier model in 1901. It continued in use through the Gallipoli and Middle East campaigns of World War I, and could still be seen in rear areas during World War II. It is still worn today as a dress helmet by the Royal Marines.  Adjustable size.
